A Tradition in Silver, Carried Through Generations.
Our story began in Kumbakonam in 1925. Three generations later, we continue to make traditional silver products for temples, jewellery businesses, dealers and customers across South India.

The Family Workshop Tradition
Mukkannar Street, Kumbakonam · Established 1925
A Family Business That Began in 1925
A.R.G Silvers began with our grandfather, Rajamanikam, who started making traditional silver articles by hand in Kumbakonam.
The early work included Paladai, Uthirani, spoons, Maikoodu and other small silver articles supplied to jewellery shops in the town.
Over the years, the family expanded its range of products while continuing the traditional workmanship passed down through generations. Today, we continue this work through two manufacturing units in Kumbakonam.
Our Journey Through the Years
From a small family craft in Kumbakonam to a manufacturing business serving customers across South India.
Where It All Began
Our grandfather, Rajamanikam, began making traditional silver products by hand in Kumbakonam. The early range included Paladai, Uthirani, spoons, Maikoodu and other small articles, supplied to local jewellery shops.

The Tradition Continues
The next generation continued the family business and expanded the range to include Round and Oval Thatu, Sombhu, Kudams, Kuthu Villakku, Malayala Villakku and other traditional silver articles.

A Distinctive Product
During the 1970s, the family manufactured the Varalakshmi Amman, which became one of its special products. Through dealers in Chennai, these products reached customers across Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh and Kerala.

Continuing the Work
Today, the family continues to manufacture traditional silver products for temples, jewellery businesses, dealers and customers. Two manufacturing units in Kumbakonam carry forward the work that began in 1925.

The People Behind the Work
The skills and knowledge behind A.R.G Silvers have been passed down through our family. Today, the next generation continues the traditional silver work started by our grandfather.
